Valerie Todd

Valerie Todd, CBE is a seasoned HR professional with extensive leadership experience across the private, public and third sectors.  Her professional background is human resources management with particular interests in leadership coaching and organisational effectiveness.

Valerie is a non-executive director of Digital Catapult, a Trustee of the disability charity, Leonard Cheshire, and is now expanding her portfolio into leadership development coaching with Exetor Ltd. She was the People and Organisation Director for Siemens Plc UK and Ireland (2018-2023). Previously, she held the positions of Talent & Resources Director (de-facto chief people officer) at Crossrail Ltd., once Europe’s, £15bn rail infrastructure project (2009-2018), and Managing Director (Group Services), Transport for London (2005-2009).

Valerie was Chair of Investors in People where she led the organisation through a period of growth, change and renewal. She has also been a UK Government advisor on skills and employment as a member of the UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES), and a non-executive member of the British Army Executive Board. In 2014 Valerie was made Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for services to skills, employment and the development of young people.
