Unlocking Executive Potential

Our coaches work with leaders to identify the shift they would like to make in terms of mindsets and behaviors, as well as the outcomes they would like to achieve for themselves and the organization.

Various tools and techniques including the collection of 360 feedback, observation of the leader in action, role playing and in depth conversations assist leaders in developing their skills and applying their learnings to real situations.

The Exetor Group helps executives achieve their most important goals. Each of our practitioners works within the Exetor Way, whilst bringing their own style to a coaching engagement. As such, we encourage leaders to work with coaches that they feel will best support them in achieving their goals. Having established this “chemistry”, we typically engage in the following steps over the course of a coaching program.

  • Goal Setting

We work together with the leader to develop a series of specific goals – things they would like to work on – including outcomes and measures that are identified as indicators of progress.

We then determine & agree on who to share these outcomes with (typically the line  manager, HR Business Partner or other allies).

To ensure alignment, we also offer an optional: 3-way conversation with the line manager.

  • Baseline Assessment

We support the coachee in working towards their goals by collecting data points on their current behaviors. To do this, we leverage:

    – 360 interviews with key stakeholders
    – Best-in-class 360s such as The Leadership Circle Profile or Hogan
    – Custom 360s
    – Existing feedback reports and reviews

  • Progress Check-in

As needed, but latest at mid-point of the coaching program, we check-in with the coachee on progress against outcomes, with the option to align once more with the line manager as needed.

  • On completion of the coaching program

Having completed an agreed number of regular coaching sessions, the Exetor coach works with the leader to determine their progress against the goals they set.
At this point, the coachee may gather further feedback from stakeholders on changes they have made, as well as check-in with their line manager. At this point, the coach and the coachee will define “what’s next”.

  • Monitoring and Follow-up

Exetor coaches may continue to work with the leader or their team over time or as their goals evolve, in support of the results they are aiming to achieve.
