Susan Jones

Susan brings to her coaching clients over twenty years of professional experience -- the first 10 years as a corporate lawyer specializing in international wireless communications transactions, and then 10 more years as a professional development leader for McKinsey & Co.

As a corporate lawyer, Susan managed large transactional teams within complex deals, honing an ability to multi-task, identify, prioritize and serve the client's interests, and yet always ensure a highly functioning team of professionals united around a common purpose. At McKinsey, Susan managed the professional development and growth of the Firm's West Coast Office consultants, facilitating a balanced approach to individual development relative to the broader entity's needs, overseeing team alignment, performance evaluations, and leadership growth. During her final 3 years at McKinsey, Susan helped develop, manage and deliver learning programs designed for the Firm's internally elected partners, addressing broad leadership objectives and negotiation skills. Throughout her 10 years at the Firm, Susan also provided one on one coaching to the Firm's partners, providing extensive, "360 degree" qualitative feedback which was integrated into the Firm's election and evaluation processes.
